Visa & Passport Information

Passport : Passport required.

Document Validity:
Passport or passport replacing documents of visitors must be valid for:

- at least 3 months from the date of entry, for visits of up to 3 months; or
- at least 6 months from the date of entry, for visits exceeding 3 months.

Minors:
Passport not required for minors registered in their parent/guardian passport, provided it contains photos of the minors and travelling with the passport bearer.

Visa : Visa required.

Visa Issuance:

Holders of normal passports and a copy of pre-arranged visa can obtain a visa on arrival, provided holding a passport valid at least 6 months on arrival. Pre-arranged visa must be deposited by the sponsor at the Immigration Authorities and can be issued for 96 hours, 14 or 30 days.

Deportation on the same flight will follow if sponsor (or representative) is not present at the time of passenger's arrival at the airport.

E-visas for Dubai (DXB) can be applied for, prior to departure, through the internet at www.ednrd.ae . Airlines can check the validity of an e-visa at the same site by clicking on the "Query DNRD APP" button.

Additional Information:

All visitors must:

- hold documents for their next destination;
- have sponsor in the UAE to cover their stay.

Valid visas in expired passports are accepted provided accompanied by new passport.

Minors:
Separate visa not required for minors registered in their parent/guardian passport, provided their name is endorsed in the visa of the parent/guardian.

Warning:
Visitors not holding return/onward tickets could be refused entry.


Visas on arrival

If your country of nationality appears on the list below, no advance visa arrangements are required to visit the UAE. Simply disembark your flight at Dubai International Airport and proceed to Immigration, where your passport will be stamped with a 30-day visit visa free of charge. This can be extended for an additional 30 days at an additional charge.

Dubai Immigration Procedures

As an added security measure, Immigration Authorities at Dubai International Airport are now conducting random eye screening for visitors to Dubai.

Visitors asked to proceed for eye screening are required to present a hard copy of their visa or a printed version of the visa number confirmation page at the screening counter. If you do not have a copy with you, a charge of AED 30 per copy applies - payable only in AED.
